I did it...
I left Fed Ex Ground, yeah bills have been tight since but more rest and free time is good. It wouldn't have happened if they would just cooperate with me on my schedual. It's September. and that ment I would be back and forth doing Military classes and things for the unit in preparation for IRAQ!!!
But the day I told them of my departure, they went into the motions of trying to get rid of me...
Am I surprized, nope.
And the funny thing was I haven't been on FED "benefits" for almost three months. I let them go because Unc Sammy was going to pick up the medical tab. Jason at the theater is all but supportive though. He told me to take any time I need. Odd but straight.
Now for the bad news...
My first class, WLC a class I need to keep my SGT rank. I was supposed to be there yesterday, but my Taraus of 5 years had transmisson issues. Leaving fluid all over the interstate. So I was left with the decision...
Get my car fixed immediatly or leave it for two weeks (the length of WLC). Now... before u call me an Idiot remember this car is my soul means of transportation. And would have to be fixed once I returned. Plus, I would have to find another way to and from work until then. Then there is the "money" issue, getting it fixed would be cheaper if I got on it right away.
So my car is repaired, my SGT rank forfeit.
It pisses me of in a way. Almost everytime I have had to do a school for the Guard. I drove my car! Whereas when I was in the Active ranks the UNIT provided tranportation!
...ending note, still no girlfriend.
